Bike UniverseA striking landscape of tall wind turbines rising above endless sandy terrain and vegetation along white gravel roads — spectacular on clear days and mysterious in the morning fog.
About this place
Parque Eólico de Tocha II offers a surprisingly impressive landscape where modern wind turbines rise high above vast sandy terrain covered with low vegetation.
White gravel roads run through the open landscape between rows of enormous turbines, creating long perspectives that are especially beautiful to explore by bike. On a clear day, the combination of bright sand, blue sky, vegetation and towering wind generators creates spectacular views and plenty of opportunities for unusual cycling photos.
But the atmosphere changes completely during the morning fog. The upper parts of the turbines can disappear into the mist, while their huge silhouettes slowly emerge as you ride closer, giving the landscape a mysterious and slightly eerie character.
For gravel and MTB riders, the network of unpaved roads makes this area particularly interesting to explore. It can be a destination on its own or a memorable section of a longer ride towards Tocha and the Atlantic coast.
A place where nature, open space and modern wind energy come together to create a cycling landscape that can look completely different depending on the weather. 🚴
