Parque do Sapador

Parque do Sapador is a quiet and welcoming rest area surrounded by tall pine and eucalyptus trees, providing plenty of natural shade and a pleasantly cool atmosphere — particularly valuable during the hot Portuguese summer. The park has tables and benches, making it a convenient place for cyclists to stop for a snack, refill their energy and take a proper break during a longer ride. There is also a swing, while openings between the trees provide interesting views towards the nearby wind turbines. For cyclists, Parque do Sapador is an excellent intermediate stop on a longer route, especially on warm days when a shaded place to rest can make a big difference.
