This time, we're heading from Soure towards the ancient Roman city of Conímbriga, combining historical landmarks, scenic countryside roads, challenging climbs and spectacular viewpoints. 🏛️ What we'll discover along the way: 📍 Baloiço de Soure – Alfarelos Our first stop is a charming countryside swing, perfect for taking photos and enjoying the surrounding landscape. 📍 Roman Amphitheatre of Conímbriga Discover the remains of an ancient Roman amphitheatre, part of one of Portugal's most important archaeological sites. 📍 Conímbriga Roman Ruins Step back nearly 2,000 years and explore the fascinating history of this ancient Roman city, famous for its remarkably preserved mosaics, Roman houses and public buildings. 📍 Ponte Filipina A picturesque historic bridge that adds another touch of Portuguese heritage to our cycling adventure. 📍 Moinho de Vento da Serra de Janeanes One of the highlights of the ride! A traditional rotating windmill in the Serra de Janeanes hills, surrounded by beautiful limestone landscapes and panoramic countryside views. 🌿 About the Ride We'll explore a mixture of countryside roads, gravel tracks and scenic rural landscapes, with several climbs along the way. With approximately 1,000 metres of elevation gain over 60 km, this route offers a rewarding challenge for cyclists who are comfortable with hilly terrain. As always, this is not a race!
