COMMUNITY RIDE

Join us on Saturday, 3 October, for a relaxed group ride to the Moinhos da Serra da Atalhada, in the municipality of Penacova. The Serra da Atalhada windmills are part of one of Portugal's most important traditional milling areas and make a spectacular destination for a cycling trip. SA Penacova 🚴 MTB & Gravel 📏 Approx. 140 km ⛰ Approx. 900 m elevation gain ☕ Relaxed social pace — this is a ride, not a race. Meeting / joining points: Figueira da Foz — 09:00 Part of the group will start from Figueira da Foz. FlixBus stop place. Soure — 09:00–09:10 Another part of the group will start from Soure. Near Praça GastroPub. Coimbra — approx. 10:40 Anyone who prefers a shorter distance can join us in Coimbra. Green Park -near Green Bear. From Coimbra, much of our route follows the beautiful Mondego River, with plenty of great scenery along the way. We’ll ride at an easy, social pace, talk, enjoy the route and stop whenever necessary to rest, take photos and enjoy some of the nicest places along the way. Our destination is Moinhos da Serra da Atalhada, high in the hills of Penacova — an area known for its historic windmills and panoramic landscapes.
